Longevity

Longevity & Regenerative Medicine

Longevity care at Organic Well aims to extend healthspan, the years lived with full energy and function, through one physician-led plan that combines advanced diagnostics, metabolic and hormone optimization and, when clinically appropriate, regenerative therapies. It is for proactive adults who want their next thirty years planned rather than reacted to, with progress measured against their own baseline. Care is provided in Coconut Grove, Miami, with telehealth follow-up across Florida.

Key takeaways

  • Longevity care targets healthspan (the years lived in good function), not simply lifespan.
  • The interventions with the strongest evidence are unglamorous: blood pressure, ApoB, glucose regulation, muscle mass, sleep and cardiorespiratory fitness.
  • Regenerative therapies sit at the edge of this program, not at its center, and several are not FDA-approved.
  • Progress is measured against your own baseline with repeat labs, body composition and functional testing.
  • Anything sold as an anti-aging breakthrough without outcome data is treated as investigational and described that way.

What it supports

One coordinated plan

Labs, therapies, and lifestyle in a single roadmap.

Measured progress

Biomarkers and wearable data track real change.

Long-term partnership

Care that evolves with your biology, year after year.

What longevity care actually is

Longevity medicine is the practice of extending healthspan: the number of years you live with full energy, cognition, strength and independence. Rather than a search for a single intervention that slows aging, it is the disciplined application of the things that demonstrably change trajectory, measured over years rather than weeks.

In practice that means a coordinated plan across cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, hormones, muscle mass and strength, sleep, cognition and inflammation. Regenerative therapies are considered at the margins, only when clinically appropriate and always with their evidence status stated plainly.

How it works, step by step

  1. Baseline: comprehensive labs, cardiometabolic panel, body composition, blood pressure, fitness and functional measures, plus a full history.
  2. Risk map: the specific conditions most likely to shorten your healthspan, ranked, with the levers that move each one.
  3. Plan: nutrition, resistance and aerobic training targets, sleep, hormone and metabolic optimization where indicated, and medication where the evidence supports it.
  4. Execution: quarterly or biannual reviews with repeat markers, wearable data where you use it, and honest course correction.
  5. Reassessment: the plan changes as your biology and your life change; it is a partnership, not a protocol.

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t

Likely a good fit: proactive adults who want their next thirty years planned rather than reacted to, high performers protecting cognitive and physical capacity, patients with a family history they want to outpace, and anyone consolidating care that has become fragmented across several specialists.

Likely not a fit: anyone looking for a single injection or supplement stack that substitutes for training, sleep and nutrition. If that is what you want, we are not the right clinic, and we will tell you at the first visit rather than the fifth.

What to expect at your first visit

A long consultation and a baseline plan. We map your history, current measures and goals, and agree the testing needed to make the plan real. Most programs begin properly at the second appointment, once results are in and we can prioritize honestly rather than generically.

Where the evidence is strong, and where it is not

Strong: blood pressure control, ApoB reduction, glycemic control, resistance training and preserved muscle mass, cardiorespiratory fitness, sleep quality, smoking cessation and alcohol reduction. These have decades of outcome data and they are where most of your result will come from.

Weaker: many supplements and most regenerative therapies marketed for longevity. Some have plausible mechanisms and early human data; almost none have long-term outcome trials. We will use them selectively, describe them as investigational when they are, and never let them displace the interventions that actually work.

Pricing and insurance

Organic Well does not participate with insurance plans, which is what allows longer visits, advanced testing and genuinely coordinated care. Program, testing and therapy costs are set out before you commit, and superbills are provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Evidence

What the research says

Peer-reviewed sources, quoted directly, including where the evidence is thin.

  • Cardiorespiratory fitness was inversely associated with all-cause mortality without an observed upper limit of benefit.

Mandsager K, Harb S, Cremer P, Phelan D, Nissen SE, Jaber W. Association of Cardiorespiratory Fitness With Long-term Mortality Among Adults Undergoing Exercise Treadmill Testing. JAMA Network Open, 2018.

122,007 consecutive adults, median follow-up 8.4 years. Compared with the lowest performers, elite fitness was associated with roughly an 80% reduction in mortality risk, and there was no point at which more fitness stopped helping.

  • This study suggests that measurement of grip strength is a simple, inexpensive risk-stratifying method for all-cause death, cardiovascular death, and cardiovascular disease.

Leong DP et al. Prognostic value of grip strength: findings from the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) study. The Lancet, 2015.

139,691 participants. Each 5 kg reduction in grip strength was associated with a 16% higher risk of death from any cause (hazard ratio 1.16, 95% CI 1.13 to 1.20). Muscle is not cosmetic.

  • Among patients with symptomatic mild to moderate radiographic knee OA, intra-articular injection of PRP, compared with injection of saline placebo, did not result in a significant difference in symptoms or joint structure at 12 months.

Bennell KL et al. Effect of Intra-articular Platelet-Rich Plasma vs Placebo Injection on Pain and Medial Tibial Cartilage Volume in Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis: The RESTORE Randomized Clinical Trial. JAMA, 2021.

288 patients, three injections, 12 months of follow-up. 29 of 31 prespecified secondary outcomes showed no difference either. We publish this deliberately: it is the strongest trial of one of the therapies most widely sold as regenerative.

Our position

This is the single most important slide in longevity medicine, and it is about a treadmill rather than a therapy. Cardiorespiratory fitness, strength, blood pressure, ApoB and glucose regulation carry the overwhelming majority of the available benefit, and they are where our programs concentrate. Regenerative therapies are considered at the margins, with their evidence status stated in writing, and never as a substitute for the work that is actually proven to extend healthspan.

Regenerative medicine focuses on supporting tissue repair processes, recovery mechanisms, and cellular signaling in the body.

Longevity medicine focuses on maintaining metabolic health, resilience, and function over time through personalized care.

Some regenerative therapies are FDA-approved for specific medical uses, while many applications continue to be studied.

When provided in a physician-supervised medical setting, regenerative medicine therapies are generally considered safe when appropriately selected.

Yes. A medical consultation is required to determine whether regenerative or longevity therapies may be appropriate.

Regenerative medicine can be integrated into functional medicine care focused on recovery and long-term health.

Typically baseline diagnostics, a personalized plan, scheduled follow-ups, and therapies selected for your goals.

Most patients see measurable movement in key markers within 90 days; deeper changes build over 6–12 months.

Programs are structured with transparent fees reviewed in advance; our team explains options in your consultation.

Regulatory note: certain regenerative and peptide-based therapies are not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. They are offered when clinically appropriate, with informed consent, as part of physician-guided care. Individual results vary.
