Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Isalguez began her medical journey in academic research at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she contributed to the Washington Heights-Inwood Columbia Aging Project (WHICAP) - a landmark longitudinal study focused on Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive aging.

Through her involvement in neurodegenerative research, she developed an early and lasting interest in the biology of aging, cognitive preservation, and the long-term prevention of chronic disease.

She went on to complete her medical training and establish her career in Internal Medicine, later practicing within major healthcare systems in South Florida.

In both hospital-based and outpatient settings, she cared for diverse adult populations with complex acute and chronic conditions, gaining extensive experience in diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification, and comprehensive treatment planning.
